I’m not clear how it is that I ended up here.

My Mother and I

Scenario: I am trying to sleep. Its nearly 2 am and my mother is a typical fobby korean mother. She got sass.

me: hello

mom: hello...

me: 네 어머니

mom: HELLO?

me: YES??

mom: HELLO

me: sigh *click

(this happened about 3 times

4th call and i exclaimed...)

me: WHY CANT YOU HEAR ME ><

mom: WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU ARE YOU DRINKING?? >:(

me: NO IM HOME LIKE A LOSER T_T

(5 minutes of insults and yelling and her phone finally clears up)

mom: i called because... i need to know if i spelled important right... i m p o r t e n...

me: no

me: its a n t

mom: ant? that doesnt look right

me: no its i m p o r t a n t

mom: still looks wrong

me: 엄마... just think about it... why are you calling me? i am right you are wrong. good night.

mom: you're drunk aren't you

(a very exhausting phone conversation)
